These 3/4 inch side release buckles add additional survival functionality to your next survival paracord project or any webbing with a 3/4 inch width.
Made of plastic these buckles feature a whistle, flint and serrated scraper (which can also be used to cut).
The whistle is molded into the male end of the buckle. Once the buckle is opened a flint rod is exposed which sits in the center of one side of the buckle. The other side of the buckle has a steal serrated scraper. By scrapping the scaper against the flint rod sparks are produced for starting a fire in an emergency situation. The serrated scaper can also be used as an emergency knife for cutting through small items such as rope.
